BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS for city of tallmadge

Composition:  
The Board of Zoning Appeals consists of five (5) members, appointed for staggered terms of six (6) years.  The members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council. The Director of Law, or a member of her staff attends all meetings and serves as legal advisor to the Board.

Powers and Duties:   
The Board of Zoning Appeals shall hear and decide appeals made for exceptions to and variations from the application of ordinances, orders, and regulations of City administrative officials or agencies, governing planning and zoning in the City. Such appeals and decisions shall be in conformity with the purpose and intent of such ordinances and regulations.
