Codified ordinances profile

As a chartered municipality, the City of Tallmadge may enact laws that differ from state laws. The city may also choose to simply adopt the laws of the State of Ohio. The city is granted this authority by its Charter, the Ohio Constitution and various state statutes. The Codified Ordinances are those laws adopted by the Council of the City of Tallmadge. They differ from other ordinances in that they are of a permanent nature. Council may amend the codified ordinances from time to time through its legislative enactments.
