ELECTRIC AGGREGATION
First Energy Solutions is once again able to offer eligible residents in Tallmadge a discount on the electric generation portion of their bill. You are guaranteed to save 6%  off you price to compare. You do not need to do anything to participate. Opt out forms have been mailed out. City of Tallmadge businesses will receive a 4% discount for the same time period as residents. If you have any questions, please call First Energy Solutions at 1-866-636-3749. Please do not call the City of Tallmadge directly,  as First Energy Solutions has the account information they will need to answer any questions you might have.

GAS AGGREGATION
Residents and small businesses in the City’s natural gas aggregation program supplied by Direct Energy will have a fixed rate of $6.53 Mcf and a fixed rate of $ 6.43 Mcf for seniors 65 or older from the November 2011 to the October 2012 billing cycle.Enrollment for new customers is expected to  begin in September.

With the price of natural gas being so volatile, please be assured that we are striving to serve your needs to the best of our ability. If you are not currently included in the City program, you will have an opportunity to opt-in. If you are already in the City program, you do not need to do anything if you wish to continue to participate, but you will have the opportunity to opt-out.Please understand that the City strives to provide our citizens with a low and stable price for their natural gas during the heating  season. With other options available, such as those offers you may received in the mail, we understand that it can be confusing. Essentially, while the city program cannot  “guarantee” you the lowest cost, it does provide you with a choice that offers a known cost  well in advance of the heating season, and a guarantee that it will not increase during the time when you use the most natural gas. Ultimately, the choice of who you choose as your natural gas supplier remains yours.
