The Tallmadge Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency headed by Police Chief Michael J. Duvall. The Police Department is located at 53 Northeast Avenue.
Services include: uniformed patrol, traffic law enforcement, criminal
investigation, crash investigation and reconstruction, a
Juvenile Diversion Program,
a bicycle patrol unit, business perimeter security, senior welfare checks,
Crime Stoppers program, State of Ohio WebCheck fingerprint criminal
background checks for residents or employees of businesses within the
City, hike and bike trail/parks and neighborhood patrols, vacation house
checks, automobile lockout assistance, a radar traffic trailer for speed
monitoring, and extra-duty security for City events and businesses.
The Tallmadge Police Department no longer owns the DARE drag racing car, and therefore can no longer provide the car for special events.
The Police Department consists of 26 full-time commissioned Peace
Officers, 2 full-time Records Clerks, 7 part-time Records Clerks,
additional support personnel, a non-commissioned Auxiliary Police Unit,
and a Police Chaplain.
Hours Of Operation
- Emergencies: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Records: 7 Days a week 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m
- Tow Releases: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. & Saturday 9:00
a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Our contracted towing company is closed on Sundays and
Holidays.
