The City of Tallmadge has partnered up with Inspiron Logistics to provide residents, employees, and visitors a new emergency notification system. In the event of an emergency, the WENS system will send a text message to any cellular phone, pager, or Email address registered with the system. This is a free service provided by the City of Tallmadge. Normal text messaging fees may apply.

What are Tallmadge Alerts?

The Tallmadge Alerts system is the emergency text-message based system for the City of Tallmadge, Ohio. It is used by the City of Tallmadge to distribute Weather Emergencies, Citywide Alerts, City Activity Cancellations, and City Bulletins.

What type of Alerts will I receive?

You can sign up for a variety of alerts from the City of Tallmadge including City Alerts, Activity Cancellations, City Bulletins, and Severe Weather Alerts. City Alerts include things like Boil Alerts and Road Closings. Activity Cancellations will alert you to cancelled Council meetings, Recreation Center activities, and other city event cancellations. City Bulletins will alert you to events like Concerts in the Park and other city events. Severe Weather alerts will warn you of inclement weather for Summit County.

What devices can I register for this service?

Any cellular phone with text-messaging capabilities can be registered for this service. You can also register an Email address and a pager device as well. Our service provider covers all major cellular phones providers and pager carriers.

How do I register?

You can register by clicking on the Registration link above. You will be required to enter your name and at least one mobile number to receive alerts. You may then sign up for whichever alerts you wish to receive.

What about Privacy?

Any and all information submitted will be used for the sole purpose of sending your wireless alerts via the WENS system. You will not receive SPAM of any kind and you are free to unsubscribe at anytime without penalty.

How do I unsubscribe?

 

You can do a couple things to unsubscribe from this system:   

 

    You can simply text STOP to 69310 from your phone
    You can return to the "Register Now" link and click on "unsubscribe."
