Community Garden

In 2009, the City of Tallmadge and the Tallmadge Lutheran Church signed an agreement to provide a community garden for our residents.

Garden plots (20 ft x 20 ft) are available to Tallmadge residents. Access to the plots is from the parking lot behind the Tallmadge Recreation Center.

The garden registration process will look a bit different this year due to COVID-19. No fee will be charged for the garden and registration forms must be submitted via email (preferred), mail (46 North Avenue) or City Hall drop box. No in-person registration will take place. Once your form is received, we will call you to discuss your garden plot location.
Gardeners will be required to adhere to all public health requirements including social distancing and gathering guidelines, and to eliminate the use of shared hoses, a foot pedal hydrant will be installed for hands-free watering. Gardeners will need to bring their own watering can/bucket or their own hose. If a gardener chooses to bring their own hose, they will be required to properly sanitize the hydrant before and after use.
