The Tallmadge Recreation Center offers a variety of fitness programs. From those just starting out to those looking for a new challenge, we have something for everyone.

Group Fitness Classes

Group fitness classes are an ideal way to improve your cardiovascular system, strengthen your body, improve flexibility and manage your weight. Best of all, group fitness is a great way to stay motivated and enthusiastic about your fitness routine. We have strength, cardio and flexibility classes available Mondays through Saturdays. Personal Training

For new members, seasoned athletes and anyone in between, personal training provides the ultimate fitness motivation. Training sessions are tailored to each individual's specific needs, health challenges and fitness goals. Our trainers build custom fitness programs optimizing time and energy and demonstrating proper exercise form and technique.

At the Tallmadge Recreation Center, Personal Training packages may be purchased by single or multiple sessions. Each session begins with a free fitness assessment. Sessions are one hour in length and meet as frequently as necessary based on each client's needs.

Home School Gym

Kids will participate in a variety of individual and team-based sports and physical activities. Weekly classes will feature a warm up, stretch and exercise segment, 1 mile and 1/2 mile timed run, fun sports and a cool down at the end. Punch passes are available and drop-ins welcome. Ages 5-17 welcome. Home School Gym follows the City of Tallmadge School calendar (September through May). Sessions are held on Thursdays from 12:45 p.m. through 2:30 p.m.
