The Tallmadge Fire Department is a supporter of the Akron Children's Hospital Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC) advocacy program. Consider donating aluminum cans to this cause. To donate, drop off is located behind Fire Station 1 next to the garage for collection. Cans will be collected and donated directly to ACBC. The program raises money to help burn survivors with education and support programs. The program helps provide non-medical items and/or services that insurance does not cover like clothing that helps skin heal, bicycles for exercise and transportation to outpatient therapy for needy families.
