In order to enclose your ditch with a drain pipe, this must be approved according to our specifications.


In order to enclose your ditch with a drain pipe, this must first be approved according to our specifications by a supervisor. Please call the Street Department at 330-633-5130 for this request. If approved, you will receive a drawing, the drawing will describe the installation requirements and directions.
You must purchase a $50 permit and $100 bond through the Zoning Department which may be reached at 330-633-0090 and is located on the first floor of:
City Hall
46 North Avenue
Tallmadge, OH 44278

Contact the Street Department when you are ready to begin. The home owner is responsible for installing the enclosure, purchasing all material and landscaping.

The Street Department must inspect each step of the process as described on the drawing before you will receive your bond refund. Contact the Street Department at 330-633-5130 for inspections.
