General requests for public records may be made in person at the Council Office in the City Building, in writing or by e-mail to the Council Office. If you are interested in records from a specific department (for example police records) you may request documents from the specific departments (for example, Police Department) using information available on our Contact Us page.

Regular Council meetings (Business meetings) are normally held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Committe meetings are normally held on the Monday preceding the Regular meeting. See the 2016 Council Meeting Schedule. The public can speak for an unlimited amount of time on any subject at the Committee meetings. At the Regular meeting the speaker is asked to limit discussion to no more than five minutes. All Council meetings start at 7:00 p.m. and are held in Council Chambers at the City Building, 46 North Avenue.
The resident must:
Submit a letter to the Council Office stating the proposed use of the park, along with the time and date
Contact the Police Department (330) 633-2181 for assistance crossing pedestrians across the Circle.
The request is presented to Council for approval. The Council Clerk will contact the resident with the decision.
You can contact the Council Office at 330-633-0856 and we will refer you to your Councilperson or you can call or email your Council person directly. Our office can also help if you are unsure about who to contact with your concern.
It is preferred that you call the Council office (330) 633-0856 or email and provide information on the subject and length of time you expect to speak. The Council Clerk will confirm with the President of Council that you can be placed on the agenda.

All fund requests are handled through Summit County 211 Info Line by calling (330) 376-6660. Requests are limited to Tallmadge residents. The applicant provides information about their particular situation to intake counselors at Info Line. Info Line personnel will determine if the request is appropriate for the Fund and if so, will forward their information to the Council Office. The Richardson Trust Fund Committee determines if the Fund can assist. There is a one-time limit of $200 per resident.
