Human Resource functions are provided by the Department of Administration. The Director of Administration supervises the Human Resource Administrator whose responsibilities include serving as the Director’s assistant in areas of general administration and in a variety of human resource functions.
The Director of Administration and HR Administrator are directly involved in human resource functions including collective bargaining, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, hiring procedures and wage determination. They also provide assistance and input to department heads on other human resource activities such as drug testing, safety, and general employment conditions. The Director and Administrator both participate externally in miscellaneous councils and networking groups.
